Matthew Rains started out in the real estate business in 1997 as a Loan Officer. After spending 2 difficult years as a loan officer he quickly learned that he loved the real estate business but was not a good sales person. Matthew made the decision to become an appraiser. In 1999 Matthew Rains co founded Century Appraisals, Inc. During the next 8 years Matthew developed his appraisal business and skills, soon to rise to the top of the industry.

When 2008 arrived new opportunities were presented to Matthew and the Rains Appraisal Group was created to better serve the real estate industry.
